A British furniture retailer specialising in sofas.

Our customer asked us to create a visually striking tree to symbolise their ongoing sustainability project. Sustainability is a key focus for the brand, and they wanted a tree that reflected the beauty of nature and the outdoors with a natural aesthetic. After careful consideration, we chose a birch tree, known for its realistic appearance and broad appeal.

The tree stands at 3 meters tall, with a canopy span of 250cm and a clearance of 180cm, ensuring it made an impact while also being accessible to customers who would walk under and interact with it. The birch trunks used in the project are decommissioned, meaning they are sourced from trees no longer needed, in line with Sofology’s sustainability ethos. These trees are replaced with new saplings to foster fresh growth in the environment.

For added stability, the tree was fitted with a 50cm x 50cm baseplate, ensuring the display remained secure. Throughout the project, we worked closely with Sofology’s team, sharing ideas and ensuring the tree embodied the narrative of their sustainability range. The final result, now installed in one of Sofology’s showrooms, is a stunning 3-meter birch tree that perfectly represents Sofology’s commitment to sustainability while enhancing their showroom space.
